The Lexar LDP-400 128mb MP3 player for easy music transfer and playback

By Rebecca Blain

The Lexar LDP-400 128mb MP3 player is an economy sized player that allows users to store roughly between 25 to 50 songs that can be played back whenever desired. Perhaps one of the most popular features of this device is not how affordable it is, or the amount of digital music it can hold, however.

Instead of using a USB cable to transfer data from the computer to the portable player, the Lexar mp3 player is much easier to quickly get the files you want from your computer. This is so you can go back out instead of fighting with tangled cables and other problems associated with having multiple pieces.

By avoiding the need for adapters and other cables for transferring data from your computer to your portable player, there are a few potential issues that you will need to keep in mind. By adding the USB connector plug directly to the Lexar LDP 400, you will have to be careful so that you do not break the USB connector off.

As it is not designed to have cables, breaking this plug will effectively ruin your Lexar MP3 player by removing the ability to transfer songs. In addition to this, there is a chance that you could fully harm the integrity of the electronics within the device as well. Just make sure you push the slide out USB adapter back into place to avoid this!

When transferring files through the plug, there are several other things that you should remember. First, this player can only store 128 megs of songs (there is also a 256mb Lexar model). When calculating this number, it is important to remember that the device should not store partial pieces of songs.

The LDP-400 MP3 player operates on one AAA battery which lasts for up to 12 hours of continuous playing time. Unlike other devices in its class, this allows you to take numerous batteries with you without having to go through the trouble of recharging an internal battery.
