The Creative MuVo USB 2.0 Transfer System

By Rebecca Blain

The Creative MuVo USB 2.0 transfer system is one of the most important aspects of the Creative Labs MuVo line. The USB 2.0 system enables users to quickly transfer songs and files from their computer to the flash storage drives in mere seconds.

This short period of time is a drastic improvement from the original limited USB 1.0 and 1.1 systems that older computers have. While the Creative Labs USB system is backwards compatible with USB 1.1, the ability to take advantage of downloading roughly a song a second makes certain you are on the road as quickly as possible.

When your Creative Labs MuVo devices are attached to your computer, they are considered to be an external drive. This allows you to quickly drag and drop (or copy and paste) your files from your computer to your external drive with the click of a button. As the USB 2.0 functionality is not music specific, you can store any type of file that you want, as long as you have the required space available on your flash memory unit inside your MuVo player.

The MuVo players have a wide range of available sizes ranging from 128 mb to 1 gb of flash memory storage. This storage type makes certain that you can listen to your songs anywhere you go without fear of your songs skipping while you are running or playing sports.

As most of the MuVo systems come with a built in USB connector protected in the casing of the unit, you can transfer your songs to and from other computers while you are traveling without having to drag additional cables with you. The convenient size of the unit also ensures that it can fit in your pocket, purse or on a belt clip or wrist band without getting in your way.

In order to make full use of this MuVo USB 2.0 system, you will need a computer running either Windows 98SE, 2000, ME or XP that contains a USB 2.0 connector port.
