The iClick DMP - music and data storage on the move

The iClick DMP (7.0 64MB & 7.2 256MB) is a great example of a compact yet feature rich MP3 player. This range of tiny players come in either 64MB or 256MB models and make it real simple to take music or data files with you wherever you go.

The 64MB DMP can store up to 2 hours of music; it’s perfect for short journeys or sports use. If you need a little more storage space then the 256MB model will give you up to 8 hours of music. Each player works with MP3 and WMA files and can also be used for general data storage as well.

This iClick range works on standard AAA batteries, a single battery will give you up to 12 hours of playback time which is really good value. And, as an added bonus, you can use the iClick DMP (7.0 64MB & 7.2 256MB) as a voice recorder too.

You’ll have no problems mastering the controls for either player in this product range; navigation is well designed and you’ll be zipping through your digital downloads and music collection in no time at all. The backlit blue screen makes sure that you know exactly where you are as well.

You’ll also have no problems customizing the way you listen to your digital audio files either here - you get a 6 band graphic equalizer, 5 repeat functions and 5 play speeds.

The players in this range currently retail between $65-90, the company sells its electronics products online direct through Amazon, always a good place to begin a price comparison search. At present Amazon are selling these models at around half the retail price so they are definitely worth a look.

Pros:

  • Size/Design - This is a compact and well-designed player. You can choose from various color mixes and you’ll have no problems fitting this in your pocket.

  • Cost - The DMP range will suit any budget.

  • Audio Quality - This range has built-in Superior Sound technology so the sound quality is good for the size of player.

Cons:

  • Storage Capacity - These players give a quick storage fix but offer limited storage options if you want to carry more music with you.

  • Functionality - This is a budget player so you cannot expect loads of functions and music management options.

  • Headphones - Some users don’t like the quality of the earphones that come with this range.

Usage Tips and Tricks

If your player keeps powering down while you’re playing music then you might need to change your battery, even if your indicator says the battery is OK. This solution may also be a useful fix if your control buttons stop responding when you press them.
