Apple unveils iPod nano (Reuters)

An Apple Computer Inc. employee pulls out the new digital music player 'iPod Nano' from his pocket in Tokyo September 8, 2005. The seriously slimmed-down pencil-thin nano is about a quarter of an inch (0.6 cm) thick, 3-1/2 inches (9 cm) long and 1-1/2 inches (4 cm) wide. The nano players, either all black or all white, are nearly as small as the entry-level iPod Shuffle but sport click wheels and hold up to 1,000 songs. Two versions of the new player, costing 27,800 yen ($249) and 21,800 yen ($199), will begin shipping immediately, Apple said.
