Napster cuts music plan to $5 a month (AP)
AP - Napster.com on Monday cut the price of its online music streaming service to $5 a month from $12.95, and threw in five song downloads for customers in a move to better compete with rival iTunes.

Scribd turns page from document sharing to selling (AP)
AP - Hoping to do for the written word what iTunes did for music, the online document-sharing service Scribd is opening an Internet store that will offer new sales opportunities for authors and publishers, and possibly spawn more bargains for book lovers.

House Panel OKs Bill to Pay Artists for Radio Play (PC Magazine)
PC Magazine - The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday approved a bill that would require traditional radio stations to pay artists for their songs, and extended a deadline for Internet radio stations to come up with a deal on royalty rates.
