Seagate Launches 3TB External Drive as File Needs Rise (NewsFactor)
NewsFactor - Seagate has rolled out the world's first external hard drive to exceed two terabytes of storage capacity. Featuring 3TB, the FreeAgent GoFlex Desk introduced Tuesday will enable users to store up to 120 high-definition movies, 1,500 computer games, countless hours of music tracks, or thousands of digital photos, the company said.

Wi-Fi-Only Nook Introduced; Nook 3G Gets Price Drop

It's official.

After much rumor and speculation, Barnes & Noble has gone ahead and taken a page from Apple's playbook by introducing a Wi-Fi-only version of its popular Nook eReader.

The Wi-Fi Nook is available for order today online for $149, which is a lot closer to the $100 sweet spot some analysts predict for widespread eReader adoption. Meanwhile, the Nook 3G gets a price drop to $199.

iPad Hacker Arrested On, Um, Non-Hacking-Related Charges

Well, that was fast.

A member of the security group that discovered a breach involving AT&T's network was arrested Tuesday — but not for the act you're likely thinking about.

Instead, 24-year-old Andrew Auernheimer was arrested on drug charges after police found an assortment of illicit substances in his Arkansas home. No word yet on what caused police to search his home but the Web's denizens are already tilting their heads away from this figurative car crash and looking toward the direction of AT&T.
