New Study Analyzes Consumers' Digital Music Listening Habits According to an article by MusicWeek, a new report by Forrester Research has found that the way consumers use digital music is still a very fragmented affair. The new study entitled, 360-Degree Music Experiences: Use The Cloud To Target Device-Use Orbits, has shown in particular that the majority of digital music listeners are still shackled to their computer due to "limitations of available technology". The study found that the majority of consumers (35.9%) mainly listen to MP3s and physical CDs on their computer (PC).
Barnes & Noble Launches Nook eReading App for Android; iPhone and iPad Versions to Get Update Nook does. Barnes & Noble introduced a new eReading app today, this time to satiate the reading appetites of consumers who use Google's popular Android operating system. Folks with smartphones and other devices that run Android 1.6 or higher (hey, maybe I should test this on a rival eReader that runs on Android, just for giggles) will be able to use the free Nook for Android app, which is called, um, Nook. In fact, B&N says that it will start naming all its eReading applications Nook to build on the brand.
