The Nike MP3 player range was created in a partnership between the world-class sports company Nike and Philips, the consumer electronics giant. This partnership really has revolutionized sports based MP3 players.
Nike gave specific input from athletes on how MP3 technology could be best utilized to suit their needs and Phillips then created the range.
This product range is designed to suit the digital music needs of any individual, from the professional athlete to the occasional jogger. These portable players are about much more than just music, although the quality of the players is also an important factor here. The participation of Philips has helped ensure that the player range offers the best quality audio solutions and use of MP3 technology.
The key thing with this partnership is that the product set and its accessories offers additional benefits to sports enthusiasts. These players do offer great audio options both in terms of the music you load on to your player and in radio add-ons, but they also add specific sports related benefits such as stopwatches, timers and speed and distance sensors. These sensors work on the Bluetooth system and offer an audible voice system into the bargain. If you opt for the model with this functionality you can track your progress over time and see how your training is going.
The accessory range includes specially designed sports headphones and arm and waist bands as well. And, all players have been designed not to skip, so even if you’re jogging hard you won’t make your player jog with you!
The company currently offers the following products:
- The PSA Range - this range includes the PSA200, the PSA220, the PSA250 and the PSA260. Storage capacity with these players starts at 128MB and rises to 512MB.
There is no news as yet on how the Nike/Philips partnership will develop. One thing is sure, however, if they continue to product quality solutions along these lines they won’t go far wrong.
